Croatia’s LNG terminal on the island of Krk has reached another important operational milestone, with total gas deliveries into the national transmission system now exceeding 12 billion cubic meters. The achievement comes shortly after the facility marked five years of commercial operation, highlighting its growing significance.
Since the start of operations, the terminal in Omišalj has handled nearly 19.83 million cubic meters of liquefied natural gas delivered by sea. During this period, a total of 140 LNG carriers have offloaded cargo at the site, demonstrating the terminal’s expanding role in regional energy supply.
Beyond pipeline deliveries, the terminal has also supported gas distribution via road, with 588 tanker trucks loaded so far. This development has extended the facility’s logistical capabilities beyond its connection to the domestic gas network.
According to operator LNG Hrvatska, these figures reflect years of stable operation, high technical reliability, and a strong commitment to ensuring a secure gas supply for the market. The Krk LNG terminal has become one of Croatia’s most important energy assets, especially within broader European efforts to diversify energy sources and strengthen supply resilience.
Krk LNG Terminal continues to play a key role in enhancing regional energy security and supporting the shift toward a more flexible and diversified gas infrastructure.
