Croatia: More power in HPP “Zakučac”, SEE Energy News
The biggest investment of “Croatian Electric Power Industry” at this point is the revitalization of the largest hydro power plant “Zakučac”.
21 companies, most of them Croatian were engaged in the realization of this project, which is a great example of hiring domestic companies. By the end of the year the first of four generating units of this HPP will be replaced.
Modification of the remaining three generating units is expected to end by 2015. Thanks to the modernization the installed capacity of the hydro power plant “Zakučac”, upon completion, will be increased for 52 MW, which will make the annual production of 1458 GWh bigger for an additional 58 GWh.
