Croatia: Power utility HEP announced EPC tender for 500MW new plant
, SEE Energy NewsHEP Production has announced the EPC tender for the design, procurement and construction of a gas cogeneration in Osijek. Cogeneration should have a capacity of 400 to 500 MW of electricity and 160 MW of thermal energy, and it also includes a contract for long-term maintenance of pedestrian-controlled gas-steam turbo generator with auxiliary equipment.
The estimated purchasevalue was 358 MEUR excluding VAT. The contract is on a “turnkey”, and includes: designing, obtaining licenses, equipment delivery, construction, installation of equipment with putting all connections to the existing plant and infrastructure, start-up and commissioning of the entire underground and above-ground infrastructure of these facilities.
Furthermore, it is required the work optimization with proving the agreed parameters of the gas combined cogeneration power plant with a thermal station and battery heat and infrastructurenear power plant, customerstaff training, warranty support for the power plant as well as long-term maintenance after the warranty period.
EPC model also covers the other systems of power plant KKE Osijek 500, in which concepts are connected to the low pressure steam turbine of two hot water heaters, heat station for hot water system, battery heat, direct cooling system with a pumping station on the river Drava, chemical treatment of water, 400 kV switchyard and other ancillary infrastructure on which it depends functionality of KKE Osijek 500.Obtaining the location permit shall be the responsibility of HEP.
