A wind farm of Danilo Holding RP Global has been put into the operation on the hills near Sibenik, the largest of this kind in Croatia. This is a project worth 70 MEUR.
Wind farm consists of 19 wind turbine generators with a total installed capacity of 43, 7 megawatts (MW), which, according to the investor, should produce around 100 GWh (GWh) of electricity per year.
Starting from today wind farm Danilo will begin to supply the Croatian power network, and according to the investor calculation, itsfacilities should increase the production of windenergy in Croatia by 20 percent.
The project was carried out in a manner that meets the strictest environmental criteria, and it was usedhigh technology, said manager of companyRP Global Croatia, Bojan Rescec.
The International Finance Corporation (IFC, a member of the World Bank), UniCredit from Vienna and Zagrebacka Banka participated in the projectfinancing.
As noted, the new plant for the production of windenergy should employ ten workers.
RP Global, the investor in wind farm Danilo, is an independent energy producer, active in France, Poland, Portugal, Chile, Peru and Georgia, and the company headquarters is in Vienna.
