According to short-term indicators of energy statistics published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia in November 2016 amounted to 1,286 GWh, which is 42.1 % more than in the same month last year, when the production amounted to 905 GWh.
During November, 745 GWh of electricity or 57.93 % was produced in hydropower plants, 401 GWh or 31.18 % was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 104 GWh or 8.09 % of total produced electricity. In this period, Croatia imported 566 GWh of electricity, which is 10.5 % less than in November 2015, while electricity exports stood at 344 GWh, which is 247.5 % more than in November 2015.
Regarding hydrocarbons production, Croatia produced 138 million cubic meters of natural gas in November 2016, which is 8 % less than in the same month last year. Natural gas imports stood at 140 million cubic meters or 23.9 % more compared to November 2015. Crude oil production stood at 55,000 tons (1.86 % increase), while crude oil imports stood at 291,000 tons or 17.3 % more than in the same month last year. Production of petroleum products stood at 405,000 tons in November 2016, which is 66.7 % more compared to November 2015.
