Croatia: Tender for new 195MEUR CHP plant expected in 3Q2015
, SEE Energy NewsCroatian state owned energy utility HEP plans to apply for a loan from EBRD for financing a new 195MEUR gas turbine-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plant.
The CHP plant should have total nominal electric power output of approximately 90-150 MW and will be built on the site of the EL-TO Zagreb cogeneration plant.
The new plant is intended to meet the demand for district heating of the city of Zagreb as well as a replacement for old units which will not meet the environmental requirements after January 1, 2018.
Tendering for the project is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2015.
