State owned power company HEP Production has received an environmental permit (decision on integrated environmental protection conditions) for combined gas-steam thermal power plant (CTPP) Jertovec.
The Ministry of Environment and Nature announced the resolution on integrated conditions for environmental protection of CTPP Jertovec .
The first environmental permit in HEP group, during 2014th, received Facility Osijek HEP Toplinarstvo, Thermal -heating power plant Osijek and Thermal power plant Sisak.
The decision on the environmental permit is a prerequisite for the continued operation of existing and one of the prerequisites for the introduction of the use permit for reconstruction of the existing ones and construction of new thermal power plant with a nominal thermal capacity greater than 50 MW.
HEP objective is to allow continued operation of thermal power plants by the application of best available techniques after January 1st, 2018th, when their work must be complied with the limit values according to Directive 2010/75 / EU on industrial emissions.
