Agreement on the principle of ‘turnkey’ included the construction of two sections of transmission lines with a total length exceeding 100 km.
The transmission line, using service of OTS HINA, reported that signed a contract worth over 60 MEUR with the Norwegian system operator, Statnett transmission system.
As stated, this is a contract which, according to the principle of ‘turnkey’ should manage the construction of two sections of transmission lines with a total length exceeding 100 km. The section of 420 kV Ertsmyra – Kvinesdal is 56 km long and it is part of the Western Corridor project, which includes construction of new 420 kV transmission line by the end of 2020th in order to increase the transmission power and transmission system to ensure reliability of the southern part of Norway, while 525 kV transmission line Ertsmyra – Vollesfjord long 53 kilometers is onshore continuation of the submarine transmission line Norway – Germany, and the project Nordlink.
Both projects should be completed by the end of September 2018th. In addition, by the end of June 2015th it is expected final investment decision of Statnett Board of Directors on the construction of another project, 420 kV transmission line Namsos – Storheia, for which it has been already approved the start of preliminary work by a letter of intent.
