Croatian renewable energy company Professio Energia announced that its subsidiary Liburana signed a deal with Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas for the delivery, assembling and maintenance of turbines for its 20 MW Mazin 2 wind farm, located in Zadar country.
The statement from the company said that by developing renewable energy projects, it provides long-term development of renewable energy projects in Croatia and in the region, which is one of the company’s main strategic goals.
In early 2022, Professio Energia completed the acquisition of two companies – PR Global Danilo and Vjetroelektrana Rudine, which own several wind farms in Croatia with combined installed capacity of 77.7 MW. PR Global Danilo owns three wind farms in the Sibenik-Knin County: Danilo, Bubrig and Crni Vrh, with combined installed capacity of 43.7 MW. Vjetroelektrana Rudine owns 44 MW wind farm Rudine in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Both companies are owned by Austrian RP Global group. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
