Fortis Energy and Inelso Energy Systems plan to invest about €25.5 million in a 30 MW solar project with battery storage in Serbia’s Vojvodina region.
The development is described as ready to build, with a construction permit expected within about a month. The solar plant is projected to generate more than 40 GWh a year, while its battery would allow part of that output to be sold outside peak solar hours. The battery’s capacity was not specified.
Enkraft Energy has been selected as engineering, procurement and construction contractor. Fortis expects revenue from a mix of power purchase agreements and wholesale sales. The project’s permit remains the immediate step before construction can begin.
