Faria Renewables has finalized the acquisition of two domestic wind projects in Greece with a combined capacity of 30.8 megawatts, further strengthening its position in the country’s renewable energy sector. Although financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, the acquisition aligns with the company’s strategy of expanding its portfolio by adding mature assets while continuing to explore opportunities in projects that are still in the grid-connection phase.
The company currently manages around 3,500 megawatts of capacity across Greece, encompassing wind, solar, and energy storage projects at various stages of development. Headquartered in Thessaloniki, Faria aims to become a leading independent power producer not only in Greece but also across Europe.
Earlier this year, Faria secured debt financing from Attica Bank to support the construction of a large-scale battery storage facility with a capacity of 49.9 megawatts and 134.2 megawatt-hours. This investment underscores the company’s growing commitment to expanding its presence in the energy storage segment and advancing the energy transition.
