, SEE Energy NewsGerman renewables developer Greencells said that it will expands its solar portfolio in Greece to 600 MW in the first half of this year.
The statement from the company said that it is currently in advanced negotiation and permitting stages to make the expansion. The overall
portfolio consists of three individual project clusters, including a 250 MW solar-plus-storage hybrid scheme. The construction of all projects is expected to start in 2023.
Greencells CEO Andreas Hoffmann said that the implementation of the company‟s growth strategy in Europe is progressing very well, with successes in Poland and Hungary serving as a blueprint for the successful market entry in Greece.
According to the company, Greece is ranked sixth among solar markets in the EU, with the country‟s solar potential standing at about 85 GW.
