Greek wholesale electricity prices increased by 20 % in the first five months of the year, according to data published by electricity transmission system operator ADMIE.
The overall cost of electricity in the wholesale market increased by 19.1 % in this period, from 64.1 euros/MWh in January to 76.4 euros/MWh in May. Electricity prices in the day-ahead and intraday markets rose by 14.1 %, from 55.6 euros/MWh in January to 63.5 euros/MWh in May.
