Greek wholesale electricity price average for Thursday, March 28, has fallen by nearly 30 percent, down to 47.5 euros per MWh from 67.5 euros per MWh on the previous day.
Wholesale electricity price maximum price on Thursday reached 81 euros per MWh, while the minimum price level fell to zero, over three midday hours. Also, a price level of just 1 euro per MWh will apply for one hour.
Overall electricity demand for the day is close to 150 GWh. Renewables will cover a 53.7 percent share of the energy mix, followed by natural gas, covering 30 percent, electricity imports, providing 10.1 percent of today’s domestic electricity needs, hydropower, at 3.2 percent, and lignite at 0.2 percent, energypress.eu reports.
