The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 52.96 euros/MWh in January 2019, which is 28.92 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 41.08 euros/MWh. Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 60.61 euros/MWh in January, 22.33 % higher compared to December peak price. Traded volume in January reached 2.048 million MWh, which is 10.49 % more than in December (1.854 million MWh) . Average daily traded volume in January amounted to 66,072.4 MWh. The total value of transactions in January amounted to 108.48 million euros, which is by 41.82 % higher than in the previous month (76.49 million euros).
