According to the State Customs Service, in the first eight months of this year electricity was exported to Hungary for 92.2 million dollars, Poland for 56.6 million dollars, Romania for 35.8 million dollars and other countries for 11.7 million dollars. In January-August 2020 Ukraine reduced electricity export revenues by 18.3 % or by 43.8 million dollars compared to the same period in 2019, to 196.3 million dollars.
As reported, in 2019 Ukraine increased its electricity export revenue by 14.1 % or by 46.8 million euros compared to 2018, to 378.8 million dollars, including 231.4 million dollars for electricity exports to Hungary, 84.6 million dollars for exports to Poland, 41.7 million dollars for exports to Moldova and 21.1 million dollars for exports to other countries. In physical terms, in 2019 Ukraine’s electricity exports increased by 4.9 % or by 303.6 million kWh compared to 2018, to 6.469 billion kWh, while electricity imports amounted to 2.698 billion kWh.
