Hungary, Average price of electricity on day-ahead HUPX amounted to 109 euros/MWh in August, SEE Energy News
The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 109.02 euros/MWh in August 2021, which is 15 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 95.15 euros/MWh.
Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 115.5 euros/MWh in August, 15 % higher compared to July peak price. Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.44 million MWh, which is 5 % less than in July (2.58 million MWh) and 8 % more than in August 2020 (2.26 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in August amounted to 78,805 MWh.
Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 213,311 MWh in August 2021, which is 22 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 6,881 MWh.
