Hungary, Average price of electricity on day-ahead market of HUPX amounted to 245.81 euros/MWh in December, SEE Energy News
The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 245.81 euros/MWh in December 2021, which is 14 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 215.87 euros/MWh.
Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 294.71 euros/MWh in December, 18 % higher compared to November peak price. Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.64 million MWh, which is 3 % more than in November (2.55 million MWh) and 28.8 % more than in December 2020 (2.05 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in December amounted to 85,083 MWh.
Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 311,102 MWh in December 2021, which is 9 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 10,036 MWh.
