The construction of the largest Hungarian PV plant with power of 15 MW will start in the spring. Completion of the project worth 21MEUR is planned in October, according to the Department of Public Affairs of thermal power plant Matra.
Matra will invest 50 percent of its own funds in the project, while the rest will be financed from the loan.
With a capacity of 950 megawatt, the thermal power plant Matra covers 15 percent of the total electricity production in Hungary, which meets 20 percent of domestic consumption, and it is the second largest electricity producer in the country.
The German RWE is the owner of 74 percent, and Hungarian MVM 26 percent. Company had 2,100 employees in 2013th and generated a profit of 4.9 MEUR.
