Hungary: MVM considers regional expansion
, SEE Energy NewsHungary’s power company seriously considers business expansion in the region. Representatives of the Hungarian state energy company MVM state they are willing to take roles that have multinational energy companies which withdraw from the region.
It was response of MVM at request of the local media regarding the claims that Hungary is in talks to buy 66% stake in the Slovakian energy company Slovenské Elektrárne (SE), which the Italian energy giant Enel plans to sell.
As we found out, from the Hungarian side this share could buy or MVM or oil and gas company MOL. The company has also indicated how seriously considered business expansion in the region, especially where there is a synergy of its energy resources.
