The renewables arm of Hungarian state-owned energy company MVM – MVM Zold Generacio has launched the construction of a 24 MW solar power plant in Szeged, a project worth some 22.5 million euros.
The project will partially financed by EU and state funds, which will contribute 8.5 million euros to the solar project with annual electricity generation enough to cover the demand of some 12,000 households. It is expected that the plant will be commissioned in the summer of 2023.
MVM Zold Generacio operates more than 100 solar power plants and seven wind farms in Hungary.
