According to a report published by the Hungarian Energy and Utilities Regulatory Authority (MEKH), the share of renewable energy in the country’s total electricity generation in November 2021 amounted to 15.1 %.
Hungarian electricity generation in November 2021 amounted to 2,854 GWh. Of this, 431 GWh was electricity from different renewable energy sources – 38.6 % solar, 38.5 % biomass, 11.3 % wind, 5.3 % biogas, 3.9 % hydro and 2.1 % energy from waste.
The renewable electricity generation in the month of November rose by 22 % year-on-year, while Hungary’s total gross electricity output decreased by 3 %. Total electricity consumption amounted to 4,185 GWh, which is an increase of 1.4 % compared to November 2020.
