Hungary: State owned ENKSZ to enter retail electricity market
, SEE Energy NewsHungary state owned utility national company ENKSZ which is recently founded by the state with goal to increase the services efficiency and decrease the prices is negotiating with suppliers for retail electricity market contract.
This JV contract would enable ENKSZ to enter the retail electricity market starting from 1st January 2016. The company plans to cover the households and small consumers market.
ENKSZ is expected to takeover the retail clients from suppliers ELMU and EMASZ but also the RWE clients as per agreement between RWE and Government.
Beside ELMU and EMASZ the companies which are covering retail and household markets, controlled by the state, are EDF DEMASZ and E.ON.
ENKSZ is also providing services on gas market since may 2014 when it took over the company FOGAZ earlier owned by RWE, transmits Serbia-energy.eu
