The fact that Electric Power Industry of Serbia(EPS) has already announced a tender for procurement of power supply system for the needs of open pit mine “Field C”, an integral part of Kolubara lignite basin, virtually marked continuation of the Kolubara “Green Project”.
This project is partially financed by a loangranted to EPS by EBRD for the Project on improving environmental conditions in MB “Kolubara”. This outstanding project is worth more than €181 millionin total, and in addition to the funds (€80 million) from EBRD it is co-financed by German Development Bank (€65 million loan and € 9 million – grant), anda portion of €27 million that EPS appropriated from its own resources.
Under the terms of the invitation, the bidder should have annual revenue of at least €5 million (in the last three years). The competition is open to firms from any country.
Applicants are required to provide a bank guarantee before 17 December 2012, which is the deadline for submission thereof.
