The Thermal Power Plant Bitola generates 80 percent of domestic electricity and it is the largest one in Macedonia. The Thermal Power Plant Bitola ceased electricity production after the shutdown of all three Blocks.
Two Blocks were shut down after an accident, and the third had been turned off previously due to the scheduled overhaul.
The company management confirmed the information about the cessation of production, noting that other production capacities in Macedonia were generating electricity in accordance with needs, so that additional electricity import was not necessary.
In Macedonia, in addition to the Thermal Power Plant Bitola, there is another one in Oslomej, as well as several small hydro power plants.
