Total electricity consumption in Macedonia in October 2017 amounted to 564,378 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 23.802 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 407,265 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 86,884 tons.
According to the data from State Statistical Office, 75.4 % of the consumed electricity in October was covered by domestic production, while 96.9 % of the total coal consumption was used for electricity production.
Total net production of electricity in Macedonia in October 2017 stood at 394,932 MWh, which is 11.1 % less than in the same month last year (444,287 MWh). 241,203 MWh or 61.1 % was produced at thermal power plants (+53.3 % compared to October 2016), 60,235 MWh or 15.3 % was produced at hydropower plants (-68.3 %), 75,268 MWh or 19 % at combined heat and power plants and 11,529 MWh or 2.9 % was produced by Bogdanci wind farm.
