Macedonian state-owned power utility ELEM sold a total of 19,080 MWh of surplus electricity for a total of 1.62 million euros at the fourth auction this year held on 4 October.
The statement from the company said that the it has sold baseload electricity that should be delivered in November at the price ranging from 74.5 to 92.5 euros/MWh.
In 2018, ELEM sold surplus electricity at four auctions in the amount of 339,040 MWh, earning almost 20 million euros from the sales. The auction held in May this year was the first one since 2016.
