Macedonian electricity transmission system operator MEPSO has put into trial operation new 110 kV transmission line which connects the capital Skopje and Tetovo.
This strategic project is of crucial importance for the Macedonian national electricity grid, since it will provide stable and reliable electricity supply to Skopje and Tetovo areas, two major electricity consumption areas in the country. General Director of MEPSO Sinisa Spasov stressed that this transmission line will provide stable and reliable supply in the next twenty years.
110 kV transmission line Skopje-Tetovo is 52 kilometers long, the project is worth 3.56 million euros, a part of which was financed through a loan provided by World Bank. MEPSO also invested its own resources in the project, primarily for land acquisition. It is expected that it will be commissioned by the and of summer, transmits Serbia-energy.eu
