Macedonia: New electricity tariffs from 1stJuly?

Will the electricity prices be lower or higher from 1st July, remains to be seen.The Energy Regulatory Commission will decide later this month .The first regulator Dimitar Petrov has confirmed that ELEM , MEPSO and EVN submitted calculations, but does not reveal if these companies have the increased costs, and how much it will affect the final electricity price.

“The companies submitted requests within deadline prescribed in the Regulations. The information on pricing will be available after processing in the second half of June”, said in the Energy Regulatory Commission.
The wind- power plants farm in Bogdanci, the boilers modernization in the power plant Bitola 2 and revitalization of six hydropower plants are part of the costs incurred in the calculation of state power plants. . Distributor EVN also calculated investments in the costs. In the transmission system MEMPSO say that the company has not yet submitted request for the correction.
