The Energy Community Secretariat announced that it has launched another technical assistance project under the Western Balkans 6 (WB6) Initiative aimed at supporting Macedonia in establishing of the electricity day-ahead market.
The three-month project will support Macedonian Government and country’s electricity transmission system operator MEPSO in finding an efficient and viable solution for organizing the electricity dayahead market trading. Besides supporting the national reforms in the energy sector, which should be initiated by the new Energy Law, the project goes hand in hand with the ongoing efforts to establish regional day-ahead market coupling in the Western Balkans.
The project is implemented under the Contract signed between the European Commission and the Energy Community Secretariat to provide technical assistance to connectivity in the Western Balkans in relation to the regional energy market.
