Prime Minister of North Macedonia Zoran Zaev visited the construction site of biogas power plant in Saramzalino in Lozovo municipality.
The investor in the project is local company Bio Enterprise and total investment amount to 6 million euros. The installed capacity of the plant is 2 MW and it will be able to cover the demand of some 2,750 households.
PM Zaev said that this project fully fits into the government’s energy policy for combined production of electricity and heat from renewable EN sources. Two more factors fit into the country’s efforts: the private initiative to accept the challenge and enter into such an investment and the added value of this project to use a resource, i.e. biomass, available locally and through the development of cooperation with local farmers and processors of food and agricultural products.
