In the first five months, the plan of lignite and overburden production is overfulfilled by five and four percent respectively. The May record shows 1.4 million tons of coal produced along with six million cubic meters of overburden.
During the reported five month period MB “Kolubara” excavated about 12 million tons of lignite, or about four percent more than planned. According to the production department of MB “Kolubara” , the open pit mine “Tamnava West Field” has achieved the highest production with over 5.2 million tons of coal or 15 percent more than planned. However, the highestoverfulfillmentof the plan was that of 23 percent achieved by Field “D” that excavated 3.7 million tons of lignite. The Field “VelikiCrljeni” contributed with about two million tons of coal, which is close to the projected amount. The Field “B” added more than a million tons of lignite, thus realizing the plan with 53 percent.
In May, the open pit mines of Mining Basin “Kolubara” excavated near 1.4 million tons of coal, which is about seven percent less than the planned balance. On the 11th May, Tamnava coal mine systems (“WestField” and Field “VelikiCrljeni”) started the overhaul that lasted until early June, which reflected on the production results of this month. The mine “Tamnava West Field”that excavated 437,754 tons of coal realized the plan with 97 per cent, while the Field “VelikiCrljeni” produced 32,249 tons of coal, which stays at 21.5 percent of the planned amount. The Field “D” yielded 754,496 tons of lignite or ten percent more than planned. The Field “B” produced 242,754 tons of coal, which is about 16 percent less than planned.
In the five month period, Mining Basin “Kolubara” produced a total of more than 28.7 million cubic meters of overburden and interburden, which is five percent above the balance.
The individual mines production overview shows that the most of overburden was excavated in the mine “Tamnava West Field” – over 13.4 million cubic meters or 29 percent above the plan. The Field “D” excavated and dumped about ten million cubic meters of solid mass, which is 18 percent more than planned. The Field “B” gave 3.5 million cubic meters of overburden thus achieving the plan with 59 percent. Field “VelikiCrljeni” produced nearly 1.5 million cubic meters of overburden, or about 68 percent of the planned amount.
The report for May shows that Mining Basin “Kolubara” removedover six million cubic meters of overburden, which amount is slightly below the balance.
The OPM “Tamnava West Field” produced a total of about 2.6 million cubic meters of overburden andinterburden or 17 percent more than planned. The overburden produced by Field “D” amounted to nearly 2.4 million cubic meters, or 15 percent above the plan. Field “B” produced 792,719 cubic meters of the solid mass, or 60 percent of the planned quantities. In the period ending on 18 May Field “VelikiCrljeni” recorded an amount of 332,028 cubic meters of overburden removed, by which the overburden excavation in this field was completed.
Coal production in June above the plan
In the first 16 days of June, the four open pit mines of Mining Basin “Kolubara” produced over a million tons of coal and about three million cubic meters of overburden. The coal production plan was overfulfilled by 13 percent, while the overburden plan was underachieved by about six percent. The Field “VelikiCrljeni” completedexcavation of the overburden in May instead of June, while in the Field “D” and “Tamnava West Field” relatively higher rate of vulcanization activitiesmade impact on the production of overburden during this period.
On 13 June, the Second ECS system of “Tamnava West Field” set a record for daily production of one overburden system in “Kolubara” by achieving 74,435 cubic meters of overburden removed.
The coal reserves at stockyards of power plants in mid-June were significantly above the balance.
