Average electricity bills for Montenegrin households in January 2026 reached 53.52 euros, marking a 14.5 % increase from the previous month (46.75 euros) and a 15.9 % rise compared to January 2025 (45.86 euros).
The lowest average consumption was recorded in Pljevlja municipality, with bills around 28.9 euros, while the highest was in Tivat, where households paid 67.3 euros on average.
Regarding the distribution of bills, 52.12 % of households will pay less than 30 euros, 12.7 % will pay between 30 and 50 euros, 19.58 % between 50 and 100 euros, and 15.6 % of customers will receive bills above 100 euros.
Approximately 115,456 regular consumers received a discount, representing about 38.4 % of total households in Montenegro.
In terms of electricity consumption, Montenegrin households used a total of 183.9 million kWh in January 2026, which is 3.6 % higher than January 2025 and 9.3 % higher than December 2025.
