Montenegrin Government had adopted the amendments to the regulation on the incentive fee for the production of electricity from renewable energy sources and high-efficient cogeneration.
The amendment reduce the fee paid by end consumers by 50%. In addition, the state is relieved of paying a portion of the funds for incentivizing production from renewable sources and high-efficiency cogeneration.
Adoption of the amendments was necessary to create a feasible and sustainable mechanism for securing funds for incentivizing the production of electricity from renewable sources and high-efficiency cogeneration, as well as to create conditions for reducing the fee for end consumers due to the significant growth of green electricity on the market, Government said in a statement.
