Average electricity bills for households in March 2026 amounted to €39.73, representing a decrease of 8.1% compared to the previous month (€43.25), but an increase of 3.2% compared to March last year (€38.48).
The lowest average monthly electricity bill was recorded in the municipality of Žabljak, at €20.3, while the highest was in Tivat, where households paid an average of €50.1.
In terms of distribution, 57.98% of households paid less than €30 for electricity consumed in March. A further 15.65% paid between €30 and €50, while 18.35% fell into the €50–€100 range. The remaining 8.02% of customers received bills exceeding €100.
The power utility EPCG also reported that households consumed a total of 141.6 million kWh in March 2026. This represents an increase of 1.14% compared to March 2025, but a decrease of 6.59% compared to the previous month.
Additionally, 152,313 regularly paying customers benefited from a discount scheme, accounting for approximately 36.9% of total electricity consumers in Montenegro.
