As announced by EPCG, the contract was signed in Podgorica by the executive director of that company, Nikola Rovčanin, and the general director of the Water Management Institute, Jaroslav Černi, Dejan Divac.

– This document stipulates that the Consortium will carry out all tasks related to the development of a study of the use of the hydropower potential of the Piva River downstream of HPP Piva (HP Kruševo) with the development of a software platform to support the selection of the optimal variant – the announcement states.

Rovčanin pointed out that HPP Kruševo represents a very important project for the company, both in terms of expanding the production portfolio and in terms of continued investment in renewable energy sources.

– We are very much looking forward to cooperation with renowned partners, whose participation is a guarantee of quality, and for us this is a very important step forward in the context of the continuation of a large investment cycle, especially since the whole story is directed towards RES, which creates the preconditions for the successful implementation of the energy transition – said Rovcanin.

Divac said that the long-term cooperation between the two sides inspires trust. He pointed out that he is sure that this project will also be successfully implemented.

– We recently celebrated 75 years of work, which, we believe, is an indicator of a serious tradition, and our long-term partnership with EPCG is a guarantee of success in terms of the realization of this project as well. We are sure that we will carry out the work quickly and with high quality, to our mutual satisfaction – stressed Divac.
