The Czech government has asked for the opinion of the European Commission about the protocol on cooperation with Montenegro within the field of energy and infrastructure, by which the construction of the second power unit in TPP Pljevlja was defined as the main project.
This could be another reason why the agreement between the Government and the Electric Power Industry of Montenegro and the Czech company “Škoda Praha” with respect to the implementation of the second power unit project has been awaited for several months. The Bid of “Škoda Praha” amounting to 338 million euros has been chosen as the most favorable, and it was announced earlier that the model of funding the future energy project was in dispute during the negotiations, i.e. that the Czechs demanded that the state and the Electric Power Industry of Montenegro should provide loan guarantees, as MANS has announced, transmits Serbia-energy.eu
