The Ministry of Finance is ready to contribute to the resolution of all potential open issues in continuation of construction of undersea interconnection cable between Italy and Montenegro, said Minister Radoje Zugic.
He met with the CEO of Terna Montenegro, Claudio Marchiori, who commended the commitment of the Ministry of Finance and thanked for the effective treatment and support for this project.
“Marchiori presented to the Minister ongoing activities related to the design and construction of the cable, and pointed out that, in accordance with the program of the project, it is expected to open the site in the second half of the year,” it was released from the Ministry.
Žugić transmitted the intention of the Government, in parallel with the implementation of European standards and best practices, and through a process of harmonization of the regulatory framework with the EU, particularly in the area of financial and fiscal policies, to provide conditions for further investment by the Italian company in Montenegro.
