The new gas delivery agreement between Serbia and Russia, which should be inked soon, envisages a drop in the gas price that should also reflect on customers, Serbian State Secretary to the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure Dusan Mrakic said on Monday.
“During previous talks it was noted that the price will be slightly adjusted and that conditions will be improved,” Mrakic told a press conference, pointing out that based on the agreement Srbijagas will sign the contract and determine the price.
He could not specify the exact price of gas, but noted that it will certainly go down.
Mrakic stressed that the previous interstate agreement on gas deliveries has expired and that in the meantime the two countries signed an annex of the agreement on the 2012 gas supply for Serbia, which will remain in force until the long-term agreement is signed.
