No big changes in fuel prices, says Skundric30. March 2012. / Uncategorized
Fuel prices in Serbia will not change significantly in the coming period, and in this way the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) will contribute to the improvement of the overall economic situation in the country and also help keep inflation inside the target range, said Petar Skundric, energy advisor to the prime minister.
“Due to frequent changes in fuel prices, I sent a letter to the NIS management telling them that profit must not be main driving force behind company policy in the time of crisis, but that in forming the prices of derivatives, they need to take into account not only the price of crude oil and the dollar rate, but also the fact that domestic oil makes up 40 percent of the total processing,” Skundric told the Thursday edition of Politika.
He believes this last fact is the reason fuel prices have not changed in the last ten days.
