The tender for the selection of the company which will sell electricity to universal supplier EVN Home in the next six months has been concluded. According to unofficial information, the winner is state-owned power utility ESM, which will sell electricity at the price of 36.1 euros/MWh, which is 7 % lower compared to the price valid for the last year and a half.
Two companies participated in the tender – ESM and EFT.
Since the new price is lower than before and the Government has temporarily reduced VAT on electricity from 18 to 5 %, the announced increase of electricity transmission and distribution fees should not affect the price of electricity as of 1 July, which is expected to remain the same.
