The price of electricity for all categories of consumers in North Macedonia will be increased by 7.4 % as of 1 August. This was decision of North Macedonian Regulatory Energy Commission (RKE).
This means that the household with average electricity bill of around 25 euros, from now will receive bills increased by some 1.5 euros. The cheaper, night tariff will not be removed and it could be used under the same terms as before.
At the same time, RKE proposed to the new Government to reduce VAT on electricity from 18 to 5 % and to increase subsidies for vulnerable consumers. The new price of heating services will be announced during August.
