Macedonian natural gas transmission company Nomagas has signed a contract with its Greek counterpart DESFA for the supervision of the construction of the Macedonian part of a natural gas interconnector with Greece.
The company said in a statement that the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) has provided a 2.475 million the euro grant for the supervision of the construction of the Macedonian section of the gas interconnector.
In 2021, the Macedonian and Greek Governments signed an agreement for the construction of a natural gas interconnector worth an estimated 100 million euros. The construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
