All state-owned and municipal-owned utilities are obliged to choose an electricity supplier on the free market by the end of March.
This last stage of market liberalization consists of 2,474 consumers, which are now free to choose a supplier of electricity for their needs. According to the Energy Law, these consumers will have to launch a tender for the selection of a new supplier.
This category of consumers includes elementary schools, kindergartens, public health institutions, courts, banks, as well as institutions such as the Regulatory Energy Commission (RKE).
