Total electricity consumption in North Macedonia in June 2022 amounted to 521,750 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 3.12 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 436,990 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 97,452 tons.
According to the data from State Statistical Office, 71.4 % of the consumed electricity in June was covered by domestic production, while 97.1 % of the total coal consumption was used for electricity production.
Total net production of electricity in Macedonia in June 2022 stood at 343,783 MWh, which is by 3.6 % higher compared to the same month last year. 236,068 MWh or 68.7 % was produced at thermal power plants (+ 72.2 % compared to June 2021), 90,921 MWh or 26.4 % was produced at hydropower plants (- 17.8 %) and 7,943 MWh or 2.3 % was produced by Bogdanci wind farm.
Production at biogas power plants reached 3,508 MWh, while solar power plants produced 3,034 MWh of electricity in June.
