Because of crisis, all projects that started five or six years ago are waiting, despite liberalization of market, and very favorable business conditions. FDI & JV projects, RWE – SECCI, REV and others are progressing slowly but new mining project started. RES projects are expected to boom.
Connection in the field of energy efficiency is often performed within South-East Europe Energy Community. Different bodies of this community have been formed, and the official representative of Serbia is line ministry, which is responsible to coordinate all activities for our country. It is necessary to coordinate the development of plan documentation, the implementation of obligations fulfillment that signatories have, and there is also the part of directives related to energy efficiency and energy labeling of products. Bojan Kovacic, the deputy director of Serbian Agency for energy efficiency, says that all countries that are included in this process are required to submit documentation about energy efficiency.
