Russia will lower its natural gas production by 6.5 % in 2020, to 690 billion cubic meters, said Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak.
Minister Novak said that between 2021 and 2023, Russia should reach the level of gas production between 728 and 795 billion cubic meters.
At the same time, the level of Russia’s natural gas exports should fall by 16.5 % in 2020, to 184 billion cubic meters.
According to the Ministry’s estimate, the demand for Russian natural gas will bounce back to 2019 levels only in 2022.
