Republika Srpska; New PM stresses energy sector projects as most important area of the new gov

Prime Minister, Zeljka Cvijanovic thinks that energy is the biggest industrial resource and potential of Republika Srpska so she stresses that new government will be determined to keep the existing capital structure in “Elektroprivreda Srpske” and that there will be no further privatization in dependent companies.

Government is determined to keep socially sensitive price policy of electricity in conditions of gradual electricity market opening and to provide subventions for socially endangered population categories”, Cvijanovic emphasized when she was submitting exposes on special session of National Parliament.

She said that new Government will be oriented on realization of launched energy projects and creation of new projects. She said that she will be opened for foreign investments and for investigating domestic potential for investments and Energy Association will be established.

Cvijanovic mentioned the importance of projects like TPP “Stanari”, TPP “Ugljevik 3”, Gornja Drina hydro power system projects of 4 plants, HPP “Dabar and construction of South Stream pipeline branch through Republika Srpska. She also mentioned the importance of different strategic partners in this JV projects.

She stressed that high-quality traffic and other infrastructure is precondition of industrial development.
Cooperation improvement and development of institutional relations between Serbia and Srpska will remain the priority to Government in the following period and it can produce real positive cooperation effects and to reflect the life of citizens.
