Romania: 13 hybrid stations on motorways to be opened by MOL and Rompetrol
, SEE Energy NewsRomania’s national road management company (CNAIR) has signed concession contracts with Rompetrol and MOL for the opening 13 new hybrid stations on the A1 and A2 motorways, which will offer both petroleum products and e-charging. Rompetrol will build hybrid stations in six locations, for which it will pay annual royalties totaling 9 million euros. MOL will build seven such stations and will pay annual royalties in amount of 4.8 million euros. The concession contracts are signed for 20 years. Besides the mandatory petrol and e-charging stations, the two companies can develop other additional facilities such as restaurants, motels, and paid parking lots.
