, SEE Energy NewsThe average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Romanian energy exchange OPCOM amounted to 274.22 euros/MWh in March 2022, which is 403.55 % higher compared to the same month in 2021 and 45.47 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 188.51 euros/MWh.
Traded volume in March reached 2.04 million MWh, which is 17.97 % less than in March 2021, and 10.81 % less than in February 2022. Average traded volume in March 2022 amounted to 2,739.9 MWh/h.
The total value of transactions in March amounted to 573.4 million euros, which is by 318.51 % more compared to March last year (137 million euros) and 31.37 % more than in the previous month (436.5 million euros).
The share of day-ahead market in forecasted net consumption in March 2021 amounted to 41.35 %.
A total of 118,511.9 MWh was traded on intraday market in March (26.3 % more than in March 2021, and 23.96 % more compared to February 2022, with an average price of 296.34 euros/MWh (424.25 % higher compared to March 2021 and 65.33 % higher compared to the previous month).
Total traded volume for bilateral contracts with delivery in March amounted to 1.62 million MWh, with an average price of 103.97 euros/MWh.
